Join Eric Peterson as he takes you on a journey along the highways and byways of North America as he does his laundry. Witness the local laundromat through the eyes of the photographer. Become the therapist's ear as he opens up about his thoughts and feelings as an art series is developed. You will swear by the end that you can smell a hint of dryer sheet and bleach. A peculiar art book, if there ever was one. Grab some quarters and go for the ride.

What do you get when a photographer writes food-related limericks and takes silly selfies to send to his friends as postcards every week for an entire year? Not much, to be honest, but hey, now it's in book form so that you can enjoy them, too. But wait, there's more! Buy today, and not only will you see eight extra limericks and silly photos, but as an added bonus, we've included exciting food-related facts you can share with your friends and family... and then they can roll their eyes at you. Don't delay, as this offer will not last forever!
What do you have to lose? Okay, maybe a few dollars, but it's more enjoyable than eating fermented Swedish herring.

You thought the world didn't need a book about laundromats. Well, you were wrong! The world needs two. The author of Permanent Press is back in the laundromat, giving you an even closer look at this unique environment and some people who make it special. Journey to New Hampshire and Connecticut, mosey down to Dodge City, Kansas, and cruise down the West Coast from Washington to California, as the laundry isn't going to do itself. As always, Eric provides Pulitzer Prize-level commentary on his travels.
Eric E. Peterson is an award-winning Fine Art Photographer, Artist, and Author (and now Publisher) based in Corona, California.
Eric is most recognized for his photography and
graphic arts, which often started with the photographic process. Never satisfied with one creative endeavor - he is also developing Children's Books and Poetry Collections. See the Literary Works link at the top.
Eric's artistic repertoire extends beyond photography and graphic arts. He also explores watercolor, pen and wash, digital drawing, and acrylic painting. While he hasn't ventured into oil painting, he harbors a strong desire to revisit sculpture, a passion from his days as an art major.
A lover of the Old West - he has said that he was born 100 years too late. He loves translating his photography into an Old West style similar to the early daguerreotype. He also enjoys working in Black and White and utilizing symmetry. You will find specific art series in the photographic galleries representing these two loves. As a conceptual artist, he can often be found working on multiple art series at a time. If you are a model or desire to assist in creating future art projects - check out the MUSE section to learn more.
The definition of art is often debated, but Eric has a pretty simple perspective on that issue. He believes:
Eric's view on the ‘what is art’ debate is straightforward. He believes the question people are really asking is, "What is good art, and what is bad art?" He leaves that judgment to the viewer. For him, art is about intentionally creating something to convey a message, whether that message is specific or abstract.
When it comes to photography specifically, Eric will tell you, "It is intentionality that separates the ‘artist’ from the 'accidentalist.' In other words, there should be some imagination, desire to communicate, training, and end-result thinking... beyond an ‘Ooohh - Hey, look at that!...SNAP.’”
