Eric E. Peterson grew up with a love for art,
but always thought he'd be an architect.
He was drawn to art and design.
At age 9 he designed his own city - "Petersonville" on standard paper in fourth grade which taped together stretched the length of his elementary classroom. Beyond the typical art classes in school, he also studied draft

but always thought he'd be an architect.
He was drawn to art and design.
At age 9 he designed his own city - "Petersonville" on standard paper in fourth grade which taped together stretched the length of his elementary classroom. Beyond the typical art classes in school, he also studied drafting, architectural, and engineering design in high school. He was awarded the Bank of America Achievement Award for Industrial Design as a Senior in High School - by designing a balsa wood bridge that held 15,000 times its own weight. His love for photography began in Junior High when his Science
teacher Mr. Maylum set up a photo lab.
Eric studied Fine Art at
Fullerton College and Graphic Design
at Cal. State Long Beach.
He also took classes at Saddleback College and Santiago College. Ultimately he received:

Eric founded and served as the Executive Director of The Arts Colony based at
Corona Heritage Park in Corona, California
from 2011-2019.
He has also served in many roles and ultimately as Executive Director of the non-profit education organization Awareness, Inc. in Orange County, CA from 1994-2007.
Eric has appeared on radio and TV, spoke

Eric has appeared on radio and TV, spoke on Arts & Culture for Royal Caribbean, and has
even done a little stand-up comedy.
He has no fear of speaking in public and
has had the privilege of speaking to
over 100,000 youth and adults.
Having shut down his photography studio during the pandemic - the conceptualized photographic works have taken a back seat to his newest interest - writing.

ten Children's Books, and a number of Poetry Collections, Eric is currently trying to finalize some manuscripts in an effort to shop them a

ten Children's Books, and a number of Poetry Collections, Eric is currently trying to finalize some manuscripts in an effort to shop them around to agents/publishers.
Having attended an amazing workshop at the Highlights Foundation Retreat in 2022, he is looking to return once again in October 2023.
Photography is still happening ...
just differently.
Eric's artwork has received over 50 awards.
His work has been part of local, regional,
state, and national art shows.
In 2004 he was named Alumni of the Year
Hope International University
School of Graduate Studies
In 2017 he received a Corona City Council Commendation For Contribution to The Arts
Eric resides in Corona, California with his
wife and three children (and three dogs).
He spent nine seasons coaching soccer,
baseball, softball, and basketball.
He served the local Scouts
as Cubmaster to Pack 251 (2008-2013)
and Scoutmaster of Troop 1969 (2013-2022)
He has also been seen pulling a
heavy-laden wagon of Girl Scout cookies
